Error while downloading flight from device
Sometimes during download of flights or other communication with external devices Oudie will throw an error. Here is a list of probable errors and a description what each error means. Hopefully this can help you debug the problem:
-3 = Can not open COM port. Check that everything is ok with the COM port on your Oudie (or PDA).
-4 = COM port is in use by another software. Reboot the PDA and only run SeeYou Mobile then try again. This doesn't typically happen on an Oudie because the Oudie software is the only one running.
-8 = Error writing to COM port. This is likely a software problem with the driver on your device (doesn't happen on Oudie).
-9 = Devices are not connected. Oudie (or PDA) is able to communicate through the COM port but the device on the other side is not responding. Try Finding the right COM port and baude rate.
-12 = Bad checksum. The device returned an answer but the checksum that was sent doesn't match the data that was received. Typically this error suggests a problem with the cables. If you can try another set of cables or use another power source. It could also be a problem with the software in the device which is communicating with Oudie (or PDA).
-13 = Character timeout. Oudie expected to receive a character but did not receive it in time. Try another set of cables or check cables for visible damage.
-14 = Unknown instruction. Oudie sent an instruction to the third party device (or the device to Oudie) but it was not understood.
-18 = No data. Oudie requested some data but did not receive anything readable. Try Finding the right COM port and baude rate.
-20 = Error reading the COM port. Try another set of cables or check cables for visible damage.
